Residential Services Mission Statement
We believe every person has the right to live in a home in the community as an active member. We will ensure that each person will have the opportunity to:
- Be active in the community using the same resources and participating in the same activities as other citizens.
- Maintain, expand or improve their network of relationships.
- Receive assurance that they will have the chance to be self-reliant and maintain the power to identify and obtain the help they need.
- Experience the scope of choices available to all people to obtain or sustain good health and live in a safe environment.
- Have personal power and choice over his or her own life.
- Be encouraged to take positive roles in activities they select.
- Participate in activities based on their cultural and ethnic background.
In conclusion, we will seek to support families in ways that families themselves define. We feel that families and service providers should come together in a partnership and that families need equal decision making power in determining which services are needed
